So today I decided to get more active with my Twitter account. I had it for awhile but never cared to use because I had no purpose of using it. I saw it as a new form and easier way for stalkers to well stalk you. Starting at my public relations job, I realized that it can also be a great tool to communicate, network and inform the public about what you want them to know. Even though you are being stalked, you can be stalked for the right reasons. You can also stalk those with vital information. A major page I have been stalking on Twitter is @CCPR; this is the Twitter page for Collective Concept Public Relations. I find it to be one of the realest Twitter page to be on because it does not completely focus on boring business news but inform you of what is going here at the agency and what is going on in the world from our views. You can also follow me when you get the chance @kjf0820

Collective Concept PR is an up and coming public relations agency that has already made many moves in the short time it has been around. They have already made connections through Time Out New York,Daily News Paper, and Black Entertainment Television (BET). The agency offers services such as branding, web designs, and electronic press kits. Right now the agency has been focusing on boutiques and entertainment but would love to broaden their horizon.
Hey everyone so I have been volunteering at this cool non-profit organization called Bed Stuy's Project Re-Generation (PR-G). The organization aims to eliminate teenage idleness and have teenagers better themselves in their community. They do this by allowing high school teenagers to gain marketing skills through fund raising and offer cleaning services to the residents of Crown Heights and BedStuy.

PR-G is holding an event called Community Pride Day on July 18 @ Von King Park in Bed Stuy. The event is an annual day of fun, games and entertainment for attendees. In The Past, activities included a community clean-up scavenger hunt, a large children’s play pen, free school supply give-aways, a live DJ, and tons of free food. This year’s theme is “Our Community in 5D”. Special guests are young rapper Spazz and Brooklyn's own Papoose! There should be some great food there as well with one of the sponsors being Jamaica Grill...so you know the music and food will be on point and what makes it much better is that it is FREE!!!! La Primera Blog

Hey everyone so this is my first official blog on my own blogspot. I have many thoughts I would like to express from different random experiences and thoughts. I would also like to share new information about any topic whether it is an event, entertainment, lifestyles and so on.

Well a little about me...my name is Karene. I just finished college and is in search of finding a career that interests me. I graduated with a degree in Communications so it should be clear that I like to focus on communication patterns and well....communicate. I want to focus on the public relations, promotions and somewhat marketing industry.

On the culture aspect, I am Panamanian-American. I have always been interested in learning about different cultures and their history. I don't believe in being ignorant when it comes to culture so I like to ask questions about different backgrounds. Yes I know there is a lot of random information on this first blog alone but this is just a taste of the randomness that will be on this blogspot. Hopefully a mix of different topics will keep interests!
